Barb has been working with web design/development since back in the day when the only HTML editor was notepad. She created her first web page in 1993, setup a departmental intranet site in 1994 and configured a full corporate intranet site based on a tab metaphor in 1996. She has the full webmaster breadth, having built and configured web servers, managed system administration, IA, graphic creation & site layout with PhotoShop and CSS, does content management including writing for the web, web app development with JavaScript, VBScript, Jscript, Cold Fusion, HTML, ASPX, XML, API Mashups, InfoPath and SharePoint. She has worked with SharePoint since the v1 version. Her SharePoint projects have included medical care planning, a Product Launch Services web system with InfoPath and MS Project integration, dev/design of an extensively customized, fully branded SP 2003 Internet site, product development team status tracking with dataview web parts, an Action Item tracking system with custom SP Workflows, organizational ROB calendar with SP 2010 Visio Web Services, Visio 2010, SP custom list, Silverlight, and JavaScript API Mashup. After an initial year-long stint with MSIT in tier 2/3 service and application support, Barb has been with Microsoft for 5 years as a WDE/SDE and is currently the Portal Program Manager for the Server & Tools Business.  In addition to her interest in the web, she also puts together an award winning, 48-page monthly magazine for the local region of the Porsche Club of America, and runs their web site as well.

Brian is a Management Consultant and Enterprise Architect with over 30 years of experience reengineering functions and processes for many of the Global 100 corporations such as IBM, Microsoft, and Samsung Electronics Corporation. He has recently joined Satory Global as Business Architecture Lead and Thought Leader providing process and performance guidance both internally and to Satory's key accounts.

Chris Beckett has 20 years of experience leading the development of enterprise business solutions using rapid application development tools and techniques. He has been a dedicated SharePoint specialist since 2003, with expertise in enterprise infrastructure and deployment planning, business automation solutions development, information architecture, and knowledge management. Christian's Presentation
Christian Buckley is Director of Product Evangelism for Axceler, where he drives partner and community development. Christian previously worked at Microsoft as a Senior Program Manager on the enterprise hosted SharePoint platform team (now part of BPOS), and also managed an engineering team in advertising operations. Prior to Microsoft, Christian was managing director of a regional consulting firm in the San Francisco East Bay, participated in several startups, and worked with IBM, HP, Cisco, Matsushita, Solectron, Seagate and other large hi-tech and manufacturing firms to deploy collaboration and supply chain solutions. Greg Kiefer is a leading expert in application development and system integration.  He has published numerous articles on application design, software development techniques, and project management.  For over 20 years, he has directed a highly respected consulting firm that develops software applications and provides innovative solutions to meet the growing need for information technology solutions.  Mr. Kiefer has an MBA and is a certified PMP.  He serves on the GTC Advisory Council, California’s Small Business Advocacy Group, Powerhouse Science Center steering committee, and the CIO Academy advisory committee, and teaches Project Management Institute exam preparation courses for the local PMI chapter.

Greg's Presentation
Gregory Frick, MCT, MCITP,  is a Principal Instructor at Quickstart-SQLSoft+ in Bellevue, WA.  Over the last few years Greg has delivered over 3200 hours of SharePoint instruction to hundreds of students from hundreds of organizations.  Greg has developed courseware for SQLSoft+ and customized courseware to meet specific client requirements.  Greg has served the Puget Sound SharePoint community for the last three years as an active member and current President of the Puget Sound SharePoint User Group.  As a leader in the Puget Sound SharePoint community Greg has organized several full day events and helped keep the Puget Sound SharePoint User Group active and vibrant.  Greg is a passionate about helping people and organizations reach their potential through the use of collaboration and communication technologies.

In the year 2000, Joel Oleson, a Sr. Web Engineer was brought in to Microsoft IT design the first Microsoft global deployment of SharePoint. Later he would design the extranet, and hosted SharePoint deployments at Microsoft. Not less than a year later he was sharing these experiences at internal MGB, TechReady, and later to customers at Microsoft Tech Ed and IT Forum conferences globally. On the SharePoint team as Sr. Technical Product Manager for IT Professionals, leading up to and at the release of SharePoint Server 2007, he helped various customers to get the critical governance information, upgrade, achieve scale, and get the essential best practices that they needed. After managing the critical SP1 and Windows Server 2008 launches, Joel started an external SharePoint blog where he would share his decks, best practices, lessons, and joined the field to share his experiences. As trainer, blogger, evangelist, sr. consultant and architect, he continues to gain valuable experience and share it with the SharePoint community on his blog, at major technical conferences, and local SharePoint user groups around the globe. John’s teams deliver line-of-business software solutions for Fortune 500 companies in the pharmaceutical, financial, legal, manufacturing, and technology industries. An experienced architect with an emphasis on SharePoint solutions, John is a frequent presenter at Microsoft conferences and sits on several committees, including the Microsoft Office Developer Advisory Committee and the International Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS/V1). Michael Lotter, MCTS, is a SharePoint Solutions Architect for CFA Institute and founder of SharePoint Saturday.  He is an active speaker at SharePoint Saturday events and user group meetings, and is a co-author on O’Reilly’s SharePoint 2007: The Definitive Guide.

Michael is a Collaboration Specialist at Microsoft and works with some of the largest SharePoint customers here in the Northwest. His passion is for helping partners be successful and customers to realize SharePoint’s full potential for their enterprise. Prior to his time at Microsoft, Michael served as a Solutions Architect Consultant responsible for architecture and development of SharePoint solutions including corporate intranets, extranets and public web sites.

Michal Pisarek is a SharePoint Solution Specialist for Habañero Consulting Group, a Microsoft Gold Partner in beautiful Vancouver Canada. He has been working with SharePoint for 3 years and has a passion for finding the right balance between technology, innovation, governance and fun to meet his client’s needs.

Owen Allen works with SharePoint partners to help them bring their products to market more quickly. Owen spent 8 years working at Microsoft as a SharePoint Product Manager and a SharePoint Technology Specialist, and has spoken at the SharePoint Conference 2009, AIIM Expo, Document Capture Conference, SPTechCon, and Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conferences, among others.  In September 2010, Owen started an independent consulting company, SharePoint Directions.  Owen has over 18 years in the ECM and solution development space, and is fascinated by the vast potential that SharePoint enables for businesses around the world.  Owen lives in Seattle, Washington, and has 4 children.

Over the past 6 years I have had the pleasure of working extensively with SharePoint as an end user, developer, administrator, architect, business analyst, and consultant. In this time I defined, architected, developed, and implemented well over a hundred SharePoint solutions from small implementations of WSS on a single server, to 80,000+ user implementations in international organizations.

Technology, challenges, and business are the things I am most passionate about. These passions have resulted in me working with truly fantastic people who I admire, and respect for their dedication, intelligence, and generosity. I absolutely love learning, and have found that people seem to love teaching, sharing, and helping as much as I do. As a result I have a habit of getting involved in a great many community events (organizing and presenting) which always leave me a bit smarter, stronger, more humbled and better off.

Ruven Gotz is a Senior Consultant & SharePoint MVP with Navantis, a Microsoft Gold Partner based in Toronto, Canada. Susan Lennon works for Microsoft as a SharePoint consultant on the US Navy/Marine Corps team. Formerly Susan was an independent consultant and Microsoft Certified Trainer. She has been been involved with architecting SharePoint solutions for the Navy for the last eight years. Susan has certifications as an MCT, IT PRO SharePoint 2010 Admin and Database Admin, MCTS SharePoint and MCSD .NET. Susan is deeply committed to the development community and helps run several user groups in VA and is a frequent speaker at SharePoint Saturdays and Code Camps.

Mr. Carroll has run High Monkey Consulting over the past decade and is instrumental in HMC’s three practice areas: Collaboration, User Experience and Interface Design / Development.  Mr. Carroll has 10+ years working with Microsoft technologies and is currently pursuing his 2nd Master’s Degree in Human Computer Interactions.  Mr. Carroll is currently an MCT and MCTS in SharePoint and speaks all around the world on collaborative topics.  Bringing a wealth of knowledge and a level of enthusiasm that would infect any audience, Mr. Carroll will use his sense of humor and storytelling ability to engage audiences while providing them with practical advice on collaborative best practices.  Mr. Carroll has been speaking locally and nationally for over 15 years.
