DESIRED DUTIES: |
|
Lead the design, architecture, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring and security of the company's SharePoint environment. This position plays an integral part in the development of strategies for optimal use of SharePoint and other collaborative tools within the organization. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform system and architectural design; document SharePoint configuration and architecture.
- Administer and maintain sites and sub-sites, including site layout structure and content.
- Application deployment and administration, including change control, managing governance policies and permission groups, establishing and/or maintaining end user access policy and permissions. Implement and maintain user profile properties and user interface configuration. This may also include the ability to delegate permissions authority to other users, as deemed appropriate.
- Creates Business Data Catalog connections and manage shared service providers (SSPs). Integrate third party products as needed.
- Consult with users to determine requirements, problem determination and resolution techniques and document workflow.
- Configure the various components and services of MSS 2010 to meet user requirements. Map user requirements to organizational business practices and design portal areas and sub-sites based on user requirements.
- Implement and maintain search services, including defining search scopes and optimizing content for indexing and searching. Responsible for document management and records retention.
- Create workflow processes and site customization; set-up, configure and integrate Excel services and InfoPath services as needed; create InfoPath forms and integrate them into SharePoint; install and manipulate web parts; design and develop reports, dashboards and other components as needed.

- Communicate, coordinate, train, and implement best use practices.
- Provide SharePoint support to end users; troubleshoot issues within or involving SharePoint.

QUALIFICATIONS: |

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or closely allied field that includes at least 15 quarter credit hours in computer science coursework AND
-
Four years of systems administration and applications administration experience working in a complex information technology environment. Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Direct experience with a major systems integration effort is preferred.
In addition, we are seeking at least one year of mid- to high-level experience in the following areas (experience may be gained concurrently):
- SharePoint Administration of WSS (2.0, 3.0) or SharePoint Server (2003, 2007)
- Strong background with Web development, Visual Studio, ASP.NET, and the .NET framework
- Serving as a technical consultant to non-technical users
- Familiarity with records retention policies and electronic records management
- Understanding of metadata as it pertains to MS Office documents and SharePoint
- SharePoint Designer; InfoPath; Microsoft Visio; Microsoft Office
- Quality assurance methodologies
